Musings on the Cancer Full Moon 6/1/2023

Welcome to the Cancer Full Moon!

Happening on Friday Jan 6th at 6:08pm EST, this moon is about stepping back.

Into our stories, into our past, into ourselves.

It's a moon ripe with tenderness. With emotions. With past wounds illuminating themselves, poking at our sensitivities deep within us.

The ones we hold closest. The ones only the few are privy to.

It's a moon that beckons us to go inward, to slow down. To meet the tidal waves of emotions, seemingly appearing from nowhere, and hold ourselves in them.

Tightly. Lovingly. Knowing that like the tides, they will inevitably recede as quickly as they came.

It's a moon that asks us to look back in order to go forward. To listen to that voice deep within that is saying - yes, forge ahead. But after nurturance. After rest. After soul-care.

It's a moon that calls us back to our own intuition. To follow the path of our tears. To track the feeling that lies beneath the story.

To venture into our own vulnerabilities, knowing that we are strong enough to meet them. We are not the person we were when they left their tender mark.

We are softer. We are wiser. We remember our own cyclical, ever-changing nature and bring that inherent wisdom back into our lives.

We go down to come back up. We meet our past to understand our future. We touch the depths to know the heights.

So cry for no reason. Weep because your heart is asking for it. Feel crabby just because. Curl up under a blanket of stuffed animals if that is what your soul is asking for.

Share your vulnerabilities with those you know will see them as your greatest strengths.

And allow the waves - of tenderness, of sensitivity, of gratitude, of neediness, of exhaustion - to wash over you.

Let them hold you, cleanse you - in order to renew you.

Much tender, gentle love,
Xx Faye

P.S. In the video below I reference the amazing podcast
On the Soul's Terms by Chris Skidmore! I pondered his words for days afterwards (and I'm still not done!). If you want to venture into some of the epics of Greek mythology, and how they relate to the Capricorn-Cancer axis, check it out here - or wherever you get your podcasts.
