Musings on the Capricorn Full Moon

“In mythos, a mountain is sometimes understood as a symbol describing the levels of mastery one must attain before one can ascend to the next level.

The lowest part of the mountain, the foothills, often represents the urge towards consciousness. All that occurs in the foothills is thought of in terms of maturing consciousness.

The middle part of the mountain is often thought of as the steeping part of the process, the part that tests the knowledge learned at lower levels.

The higher mountain represents intensified learning; the air is thin there, it takes endurance and determination to stay at the tasks.

The peak of the mountain represents confrontation with the ultimate wisdom…

So it is good to take to the mountain when we don’t know what else to do. When we are drawn to quests we know little about, this makes life and develops soul. In climbing the unknown mountain we gain true knowledge of the instinctive psyche and the creative acts of which it is capable - that is our goal” - Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

Happy Capricorn full moon everyone!

Slow clap for you - you made it through the intensity of the last couple weeks!

That doesn't necessarily mean you're smooth sailing just yet, but hopefully the breaths are becoming deeper, the fog of life is beginning to lift, even if ever so slightly.

Things are changing on both a subtle and gross level. It can be challenging, it can be awe-inspiring, and it can be everything in between.

Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, always reminds me of the long-haul journey we're all on. The perseverance to keep going despite the doubts, fears and self-criticisms that may swirl around us, within us.

It ain't easy, but it is those moments that show our true strength, our true resolve to believe in ourselves with an unshakable inner strength.

To claim our own power, our own authority over our lives.

To plant our flag at the top of our own personal mountain, taking a moment to sit there, revelling in all you've traversed to get where you are.

Take that moment and really, really honour how incredible you are for getting wherever you are today. Life doesn't have to be "perfect" (the greatest lie ever told), or look like what you thought it might at a certain age. But honouring the small wins is how we give ourselves the courage to keep climbing, keep going.

Keep envisioning.

I love being a part of all your mountain journeys - and I thank you wholeheartedly for being part of mine!

Much love on this earthy full moon,
Xx Faye
